Circulo De La Hispanidad Housing

Círculo de la Hispanidad administers both transitional and permanent housing programs to address the specific needs of Nassau County residents. These programs serve low-income individuals and households, victims of domestic violence, people living with mental health diagnoses, homeless families and people living with HIV/AIDS.

Permanent Housing

Casa Serenidad provides permanent housing rental assistance to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in scattered site housing throughout Nassau County.

Capacity: 6 singles and 2 families

Referrals Sources: Referrals in Nassau County. Individuals must be homeless and meet the HUD definition of homelessness.

Requirements: Individuals must be living with HIV or AIDS and must be homeless.

Casa Esperanza (Hope House) provides permanent housing for victims of violence in Nassau County.

Capacity: 2 families

Referrals Sources: Residents of Nassau County. Individuals must be homeless and meet the HUD definition of homelessness.

Requirements: Individuals must be fleeing from domestic violence. This program is for homeless victims of violence.

HHAP- Homeless Housing Assistance Program offers permanent housing for homeless families in Nassau County.

Capacity: 4 families

Referrals Sources: Residents of Nassau County.

Requirements: Individuals must be homeless. Participants must contribute 30% of their income to rent.

Transitional Housing Progam

Casa Salva provides transitional housing to homeless survivors of victims of domestic violence and their families fleeing from abusive relationships. The program assists individuals secure housing and provides a rent subsidy for a time limited basis.

Requirements: families must be homeless and the head of household must be a victim of violence.

The Supported Housing Program

SHP-The Supported Housing Program provides permanent housing rental assistance for individuals living with a mental health diagnosis. Participants are referred through the Single Point of Access (SPA) system and receive a
